Mark Brown, a 31-year military research veteran, has joined Belcan as chief technology officer of advanced engineering at the company’s government services segment.
Belcan said Monday Brown most recently served as vice president of Scientific Research Corp.‘s advanced technology solutions division that offers research, engineering, test and evaluation services to the Office of the Secretary of Defense and U.S. military branches.
Prior to SRC, he was the lead researcher on weapons controls at Sikorsky for the Comanche helicopter and managed a team of researchers and programmers who developed fire control algorithms for the armed reconnaissance platform.
Brown held a 15-year public sector career that includes time at the U.S. Army‘s Space and Missile Defense Command, where led multiple technology development efforts in support of the Missile Defense Agency.
He previously conducted systems integration, test, evaluation and foreign technical assistance activities during his time at a U.S. Air Force facility in Warner Robins, Georgia.
