Ten companies have landed spots on a potential five-year, $99.6 million contract to provide production and repair services to non-nuclear U.S. Navy ships, vessels and submarines.
The indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract has a one-year base period with $100,000 in total guaranteed minimum and work could extend through September 2023 if the Navy exercises all options, the Defense Departmentsaid Wednesday.
Contractors will perform in-place and detached equipment repair and installation; electrical/electronic repair, alteration and modernization; pump/motor and mechanical systems repair and alignment and temporary scaffolding installation and removal services
Work will also include welding; shipfitting; blasting; painting; rigging; tank cleaning and sheet metal forming, shaping, cutting and stamping.
