Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC) has secured a position on a potential five year, $554 million contract to provide training support services for the U.S. Army.
SAIC said Friday it is one of the seven companies that won a spot on the Training Support Systems-Enterprise indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract awarded by the Army Mission and Installation Contracting Command – Fort Eustis.
Jim Scanlon, senior vice president and general manager of SAIC™s defense systems customer group, said the company has pioneered live, virtual, constructive training platforms for more than 10 years and is proud to leverage its experience to support the Army and its core areas through the TSS-E contract.
SAIC will help the command develop LVC and gaming training systems for warfighters across the continental U.S. and abroad under the contract that covers five task areas.
These task areas include the sustainable range program; mission complex and the service branch™s LVC integrating-architecture; soldier training; combat training center; and training development.
