Chris Metts, formerly vice president of global aviation and air traffic management at Harris (NYSE: HRS), has joined Deloitte Consultings federal government practice as a specialist executive.
Metts will lead Deloittes growth efforts in the federal transportation sector, particularly in the aviation segment, with a focus on leveraging big data, artificial intelligence, smart mobility and cloud platforms to build up customer service and ensure safety, the company said Tuesday.
Chris extensive experience as an air traffic professional will expand Deloittes ability to serve our global and domestic aviation and space clients in a time of rapid technological and organizational transformation, said Dan Helfrich, principal at Deloitte Consulting and head of the federal government practice.
Prior to Harris, Metts spent over three decades at the Federal Aviation Administration where he held senior leadership roles such as VP of program management organization, VP of en route operations director of air traffic operations.
He previously served as a civil aviation and transportation attache to U.S. embassies in Japan, Singapore and China and started his career in the aviation sector as an air traffic controller.
