Jas. Powell, a nearly two-decade information technology veteran, has joined Belcan as chief technology officer for enterprise IT at the company’s government services business segment.
He will oversee Belcan Government Services‘ expansion efforts in the critical infrastructure, security and innovation areas, the company said Tuesday.
Throughout my career Ive been passionate about creating a better citizen experience for civilian agencies, said Powell.
I look forward to bringing that passion and using my breadth of experience to further Belcans mission to engineer better outcomes through adaptive and integrated services.”
Powell previously served as director of industry engagement for global military and national governments at Riverbed Technology.
He also worked at Lockheed Martin(NYSE: LMT) and led the establishment of cyber innovation and technology center for the Bethesda, Maryland-based contractor’s former information systems and global solutions unit.
He also held positions within NetApp‘s public sector team for the foreign affairs community; the engineering team at Nervve; and the public sector team focused on U.S. Navy, Marine Corps and Defense Department accounts at Citrix.
