General Electric (NYSE: GE) has received a six-month, $74 million contract to repair, replace and provide program support services for engine components of the U.S. Navy‘s F/A-18 E/FSuper Hornet and EA-18G Growler aircraft platforms.
The Defense Departmentsaid Tuesday that GE will support 773 F414 aircraft engine components under the firm-fixed-price, performance-based logistics requirements type contract.
Ninety-nine percent of work will occur at GE supplier facilities and the rest at the Fleet Readiness Center Southeast in Jacksonville, Florida.
The Pentagon expects the company to finish contract work by June 2018.
The Naval Supply Systems Command Weapon Systems Support sourced the contract.
