A business segment ofBoeing (NYSE: BA) has received a one-year, $80 million contract option to sustain a variant of the U.S. Air Force‘s E-4B command post aircraft.
Boeing Defense, Space & Security will help the service branch manage the E-4B program and procure spares as well as provide system integration laboratory, repair, engine overhaul and emergency support services, the Defense Departmentsaid Thursday.
The award exercises an option two order under a previously awarded indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract.
Work will occur at a company facility in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and at Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska through Nov. 30, 2018.
The Air Force obligated $28.4 million in fiscal 2018 operations and maintenance funds at the time of award.
