Air Force Exercises $80M Option in Boeing E-4B Aircraft Sustainment Contract

A business segment of Boeing (NYSE: BA) has received a one-year, $80 million contract option to sustain a variant of the U.S. Air Force‘s E-4B command post aircraft.

Boeing Defense, Space & Security will help the service branch manage the E-4B program and procure spares as well as provide system integration laboratory, repair, engine overhaul and emergency support services, the Defense Department said Thursday.

The award exercises an option two order under a previously awarded indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract.

Work will occur at a company facility in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and at Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska through Nov. 30, 2018.

The Air Force obligated $28.4 million in fiscal 2018 operations and maintenance funds at the time of award.
