Raytheon‘s (NYSE: RTN) integrated defense systems business has secured a potential $371.2 million follow-on contract from the Missile Defense Agency to provide research and development support for two kinds of ballistic missile defense radar technology.
The Defense Departmentsaid Wednesday the contractor will perform engineering, product improvement and cybersecurity support on the Army Navy Transportable Radar Surveillance Control Model-2 and Sea-Based X-Band radars.
DoD noted Raytheon will also offer Ballistic Missile Defense System test subject matter experts support along with modeling and simulation support services for the AN/TPY-2 and SBX platforms.
MDA obligated $35,657,296 in fiscal 2017 and 2018 research, development, test and evaluation funds at the time of award.
The indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract’s ordering period will run through Oct. 31, 2022, followed by an a one-year option period,
