Alicia Townes, formerly vice president and corporate controller of Vistronix, has joined defense technology firm VT Group as senior vice president and chief financial officer.
VT Group said Friday Townes joins the company’s executive leadership team that aims to drive strategic growth and development efforts.
Her appointment comes six weeks after VT Group appointed former Vistronix CEO John Hassoun to the positions of CEO and president.
Townes and Hassoun led the 2016 sale of Vistonix to government contractor ASRC Federal.
She previously served in accounting and senior financial leadership roles at other GovCon firms that included Sotera Defense Solutions, General Dynamics (NYSE: GD), Vangent and Deltek.
