September 29th Market Close: GovConIndex Closes Up With the S&P500 and NASDAQ Setting New Records


 

The Executive Mosaic GovCon Index (GCI) closed up 0.228 percent to 107.363 with advancing shares outpacing declining 2 to 1.

The major indices closed up on the day with the S&P500 and NASDAQ Composite setting new records. The S&P500 increase was up 0.37 percent to 2,519.36, while the DJIA closed at 22,405.09 up 0.11 percent, and the NASDAQ Composite advanced 0.66 percent to close at 6,495.96.

Crude oil spent the better part of the day up and down. WTI on the NY Mercantile Exchange closed at $51.59 per barrel down 0.06 percent.
