General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) has received a $310.6 million contract to design, develop and integrate multiple engineering changes into the U.S. Army‘s M1A2 Abrams main battle tank.
The Defense Departmentsaid Friday General Dynamics’ land systems business will support the Abrams M1A2 System Enhancement Package Version 3 program that aims to increase the network compatibility, power generation and distribution, survivability and lethality of of M1A2 tanks.
Work will occur in Sterling Heights, Michigan; Lima, Ohio; Scranton, Pennsylvania; and Tallahassee, Florida through Feb. 28, 2024.
