Anchorage, Alaska-based Defense Base Serviceshas won a potential eight-year, $233 million from the U.S. Navy to provide base operating support services at Naval Air Station Fallon in Nevada.
The Defense Departmentsaid Tuesday the service branch received two bids for the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract via a competitive procurement on the Navy Electronic Commerce Online portal.
DoD noted the amount of $21.5 million will be obligated for recurring work during the base period from fiscal 2018 U.S. Marine Corps, Marine Corps Reserve and Navy operations and maintenance funds, Defense Health Program funds, Navy working capital funds and family housing operations and maintenance funds.
The contract includes seven option years and an additional one six-month option.
Defense Base Services is a subsidiary of Chugach Alaska Corp. and offers facilities engineering, management, operations and maintenance services to the federal government.
