General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) has purchased Advatech Pacifics electronics and communications division for an undisclosed amount in a move to grow cybersecurity technology and service offerings for clients in intelligence and defense markets.
The acquired business will be integrated into General Dynamics mission systems segment, the company said Wednesday.
General Dynamics Mission Systems seeks to integrate Advatechs TACDS and CenturionCDS cross-domain security platforms with its cyber product line that includes BluAura, TACLANE-FLEX and Sectera vIPer Universal Secure Phone.
TACDS is a National Security Agency-certified ruggedized cross-domain system designed for deployment on intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance and armored platforms, while CenturionCDS is a small tactical device that works to facilitate data transfer among deployed warfighters.
