Accenture (NYSE: ACN) has completed its purchase of Alexandria, Virginia-based cybersecurity provider Defense Point Security in a push to expand cyber defense services for the U.S. federal government.
The global professional services company said Friday DPS will now serve as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Accenture Federal Services.
First announced in October, Accenture purchased DPS in a strategy to provide end-to-end federal enterprise security services which include cyber defense and incident response, security integration and cyber analytics.
DPS will add a suite of cybersecurity offerings to Accenture’s portfolio such as Security Operations Center, cyber operations, security engineering and cyber analytics support services.
