Kevin Benedict
Kevin Benedict, former vice president of business development at SES Government Solutions, has joined Atlanta-based remote field communications and information technology provider DataPath as senior VP of U.S. government sales.
DataPath said Tuesday Benedict will oversee efforts to expand the company’s work with U.S. defense, intelligence and civilian agencies customers and takes his new role as part of a larger effort to grow in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.
Prior to his industry career, Benedict served as a U.S. Air Force officer with a focus on satellite acquisition, space launch operations and high performance computing.
He served as chief of the satellite acquisition branch for the Defense DepartmentSpace Test Program, senior launch crew for the 30th Space Wing and director of the Maui High Performance Computing Center.
Benedict will be based in Northern Virginia at an office the company plans to open in early 2017.
