Nine companies have won positions on a potential five-year, $1.75 billion contract to support fielded training systems of the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Marine Corps as well as foreign military customers.
The Defense Departmentsaid Monday contractors will compete for individual orders to perform training device operation, maintenance, modification and relocation services, contract instruction, systems management, in-service engineering and spares/product support.
Twelve bids were submitted to the Naval Air Warfare Center’s training systems division for the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract via an electronic solicitation.
Work will occur at Navy and Marine Corps installations globally through July 2021 and the obligated amount of $119, 504 at the time of award is from the Navy’s fiscal year 2016 operations and maintenance funds.
