The U.S. Navy has awarded three companies spots on a potential five-year, $1.32 billion contract to help maintain amphibious warfare and surface combatant ships that dock in San Diego.
Contractors will receive a $10, 000 minimum guarantee per contract and work covers maintenance of DDG destroyers, CG guided missile cruisers and LSD, LPD, LHA and LHD class amphibious ships.
BAE, NASSCO and Marine Hydraulics International will maintain similar vessels that are visiting or stationed at a naval base in Norfolk, Virginia, under a potential $2.6 billion contract the Navy awarded last month.
