Boeing (NYSE: BA) has secured a potential $897 million contract modification to build and deliver to the U.S. Army a total of 39 CH-47F Chinook helicopters under production lot 14.
The multiyear contract covers 12 new-build Chinooks and 27 renew helicopters, the Defense Departmentsaid Tuesday.
The Boeing-built CH-47F Chinook is a vertical-lift helicopter designed for use in the transportation of military personnel and cargo as well as in humanitarian relief missions.
The company will perform work at its facility in Ridley Township, Pennsylvania, through Dec. 20, 2020.
