Maureen Kaplan, former managing director and chief operating officer of Verizon Enterprise Solutions‘ (NYSE: VZ) global security services group, has been named executive vice president of business development at Veris Group.
Kaplan will be responsible for the Vienna, Virginia-based cybersecurity firm’s business development activities and lead its efforts to develop sales, marketing and capture teams, Veris Group said Thursday.
Maureen brings astute business acumen, business development savviness and rich executive leadership skills” to her new position, noted Dave Svec, founder and principal of Veris Group.
Kaplan previously served as sales director of the global healthcare division at Verizon Enterprise Solutions and also held the roles of sales VP and engineer at Perimeter eSecurity.
She holds various certifications including a Six Sigma Black Belt, Information Systems Security Professional certificate from International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium and GIAC Security Leadership certificate.
