Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has received a $769.5 million contract modification to conduct logistics maintenance for F-35 Lightning II aircraft delivered to the U.S. military, non-Defense Department participants and foreign military sales customers.
The company will perform ground maintenance, depot activation, action request resolution, automatic logistics information system operations, health management implementation, supply chain management and pilot training, DoD said Monday.
Lockheed Martin will carry out the work under this contract in the U.K. and in Texas, California, Florida and South Carolina through December 2016.
DoD broke down the contract as 48 percent for the U.S. Air Force, 24 percent for the Marine Corps, 15 percent for the Navy, 12 percent for international partners and 1 percent for FMS customers.
