Aviation Systems Engineering Co., or ASEC, has secured a $294 million cost-plus-fixed-fee and cost contract from the U.S. Navy for the procurement of engineering services and supplies for naval airborne anti-submarine warfare systems.
Contract Scope
The Department of Defense said Friday the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract covers services supporting the research, development, system prototyping, limited production, modification, and sustainment of the ASW. This includes all Navy and Marine Corps aircraft types, models and series, as well as other government agencies and foreign military platforms, covering every phase of the systems’ life cycle.
The company will perform 50 percent of the work in Lexington Park, Patuxent River and California, Maryland. The rest of the project will be done in Jacksonville, Florida; Warminster and Horsham, Pennsylvania; Huntington Beach, California; and Whidbey Island, Washington.
The contract, set to be completed by June 2030, was competitively procured with only one offer submitted. The Naval Air Systems Command will obligate funds on individual orders upon issue.
