Northrop Grumman has appointed industry executives Jeremy Knupp and Ed Griebel as vice president of global command and control solutions and VP of mission enabling products, respectively.
Knupp and Griebel announced their new roles in separate LinkedIn posts.
Jeremy Knupp’s Career Background
According to his LinkedIn profile, Knupp has been with Northrop since 2011 and has held roles of increasing responsibility, including VP of digital transformation, VP of engineering and sciences, and senior director of survivability development programs.
Before Northrop, he spent over four years at Lockheed Martin, where he served as operations manager, development lead and deputy operations lead.
The retired U.S. Air Force imagery intelligence analyst first joined Lockheed in 2001 as a software and systems engineer. After three years, he transferred to BAE Systems to serve as an operations engineering lead.
Knupp has a bachelor’s degree in management information systems from American Sentinel University.
Ed Griebel’s Career Highlights
As VP of mission enabling products, Griebel is responsible for aligning strategic investments with Northrop’s vision, promoting a culture of innovation and supporting defense customers, including the Air Force and Space Force, with mission-critical platforms across ground, sea, air and space domains, according to his profile on the professional networking site.
Griebel most recently served as VP of airborne surveillance and combat sensors at Northrop.
He has been with the Falls Church, Virginia-based aerospace and defense contractor for over two decades, serving in various leadership roles, including VP of marine systems-submarine nuclear propulsion, VP of digital engineering and digital transformation, and senior director of engineering for marine nuclear propulsion and launcher technologies.
The Pennsylvania State University graduate has a master’s degree in engineering physics from the Johns Hopkins University.
