The Department of Defense said Tuesday the Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific in San Diego awarded the firm-fixed-price BPA under the DOD Enterprise Software Initiative using the General Services Administration’s Federal Supply Schedule.
DOD uses Red Hat software products to support warfighting missions and operations, ensure compatibility across networks and protect against vulnerabilities.
The multiple-award BPA has a three-year base ordering period and one two-year option.
The service conducted a competitive procurement process for the BPA through the GSA E-Buy website and solicited bids from 990 vendors.
The Navy recently awarded three vendors positions on a potential $146 million BPA to provide Appian commercial off-the-shelf software and hardware, propriety appliances and information technology maintenance support.
