U.S. Special Operations Command has awarded four companies positions on a potential $750 million contract to provide numerous types of ammunition for all USSOCOM components.
The Department of Defense said Thursday Ultimate Ammunition, Canadian Commercial Corp., Blane International Group and Olin Winchester are the awardees on the multiple-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract.
The command is obligating $10,000 in fiscal year 2024 procurement funds for the initial delivery orders and may use operations and maintenance funds to finance future orders under the IDIQ contract.
In July 2023, USSOCOM selected 11 vendors for a $750 million contract to supply small-caliber ammunition products. The command received 16 bids for the contract through a full and open competition.
