In a LinkedIn post announcing her appointment, Johnson said her 25 years at General Dynamics Mission Systems prepared her to take on the position as head of the space, cyber and intelligence systems team.
“Together we will do what we do best – design and build an integrated portfolio of resilient and adaptable capabilities and products – fortifying national security,” she added in her post published Monday.
Johnson brings to the role decades of experience in technical innovation and military communications systems and mission-first philosophy.
She most recently served as deputy general manager of the land and air systems business line and VP of the defense electronics business area at GDMS.
Her previous roles at GDMS include VP of platform security products for the cyber systems business line and head of business development for nuclear command, control and communications segment within the strategic systems unit.
Johnson is a member of Stonehill College’s Engineering Industry Advisory Board and plays an active role as a member of several organizations, including Women in Defense and Society of Women Engineers.
