GDIT Wins $171M Air Force Task Order to Secure Industrial Control System Deployments

General Dynamics‘ (NYSE: GD) information technology division has secured a $170.8 million task order to help the Air Force Civil Engineer Center research and develop new life cycle strategies and methods to secure industrial control systems.

GDIT will provide cybersecurity services to ensure less vulnerable deployments of the civil engineer control system to global users, the Department of Defense said Wednesday.

Work will occur at 188 Air Force bases worldwide through Feb. 9, 2029.

The Air Force launched a competitive competition for the task order with five bids received and will obligate $31 million in fiscal 2024 operation and maintenance funds.

AFCEC is a subordinate unit of the Air Force Installation and Mission Support Center that oversees facility investment planning, design and construction, real property management and environmental compliance and restoration at various installations worldwide.
