Army Veteran Neil Thurgood Appointed Anduril SVP

Neil Thurgood, a 37-year U.S. Army veteran, has been appointed to a senior vice president role at defense technology provider Anduril Industries.

Anduril said Tuesday the retired Army lieutenant general will lead the company’s strategy for addressing capability priorities related to counter-unmanned air systems, air and missile defense, tactical weapons and command and control.

He will be the senior site executive of business operations in Huntsville, Alabama, and his esponsibilities will also include supporting production, program management and delivery efforts in the government sector.

Thurgood previously managed U.S. Army programs valued at more than $4 billion combined and led the branch’s operational deployment of a hypersonic weapons system in his prior role as director of its Rapid Capabilities and Critical Technology Office.
