Boeing (NYSE: BA) has secured a $200 million contract modification from the U.S. Navy to obtain long-lead items and related services needed to maintain the timeline for F/A-18E/F full-rate production efforts.
Naval Air Systems Command will use the branch’s fiscal 2022 aircraft procurement funds to cover the full obligated amount, according to a Department of Defense announcement released Thursday.
The service expects Boeing to finish efforts for congressionally added Super Hornet jets in June 2025 as part of the modification award.
