GovCIO Subsidiary Books $99M IDIQ Award to Engineer Navy Submarine Broadcast Tech

GovCIO subsidiary Salient CRGT has booked a $99.2 million contract to carry out fixed very-low-frequency/low-frequency engineering work on the U.S. Navy’s fixed broadcast platform for submarines.

The performance-based, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract from Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic covers life cycle management support of the Fixed Submarine Broadcast System, GovCIO said Thursday.

Services encompass FSBS Naval Shore Antenna Transmitter Site installation, activation and sustainment, software engineering, test and evaluation, logistics, technical training and program management.

The effort is part of NIWC Atlantic’s Shore Submarine Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence Integrated Program Team office.

“Our contract award supports the NIWC Atlantic and is a critical component of our Nation’s Submarine Force Command, Control and Communications backbone,” said John Anderson, president of the national security sector at GovCIO.

GovCIO CIO Jim Brabston said the company looks forward to partnering with NIWC Atlantic and other Navy stakeholders to bring a “mission-first mindset” to the program.

Locations of contract work include California, Hawaii, Maine, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Virginia, Washington, Australia, Iceland, Italy, Japan, and Puerto Rico.
