Ray Coleman, a U.S. Army veteran and an information technology professional, has joined Koniag Government Services to serve as chief information officer.
KGS said Monday he will oversee operations related to its IT and cybersecurity programs. This includes providing technical leadership and presiding in strategic planning and project development to meet the company’s future technology needs and achieve IT goals and objectives.
“Strong IT and security departments are more important than ever in today’s world, and I look forward to helping KGS stay at the cutting-edge in a highly competitive arena,” Coleman commented.
KGS is banking on Coleman’s 25-year IT experience in the Department of Defense to help drive its growth efforts within the government contracting business.
“Ray is a proven leader who has shown to consistently be at the forefront of the complex and ever- changing world of IT and cybersecurity. And with his wealth of knowledge, his wise counsel will be extremely useful in delivering innovation to our customers,” KGS CEO Kevin Wideman said.
