“Doug Lane brings Capgemini’s global thought leadership and advisory consulting services to bear on innovative technologies and real world applications of those technologies in the government ecosystem, through direct consulting support and thought client interaction,” said Jim Garrettson, founder and CEO of Executive Mosaic.

“Doug, a native thought leader, is driving capital for Gemini Gov’t Solutions’ expansion, acquisitions like VariQ, and innovative trends such as quantum computing, digital financial integrity and digital transformation,” Garrettson continued.

Capgemini reported a full breakdown of its record performance throughout 2021, which was highlighted with the company’s revenues rising by 14.6 percent and includes 15 percent constant currency growth over the full fiscal year and organic growth of ten percent as well.

Capgemini is one of the world’s foremost providers of consulting, technology and outsourcing services. The company’s digital and cloud services has grown to 65 percent of Capgemini’s activity and reflects the importance of critical digital transformation projects.

Most notably, Capgemini announced in December 2021 that the company’s VariQ acquisition had been completed in order to strengthen the company’s position in the federal landscape and build momentum for continued growth and advance software development, cybersecurity and cloud service capabilities for federal government clients.

“The addition of strong talent and expanded best-in-class contract vehicles would advance Capgemini Government Solutions’ ability to provide industry-leading solutions to the agencies we serve,” said Doug Lane. “As we look ahead, we are motivated by the ability to cultivate strong partnerships with those we serve to deliver on transformative digital initiatives.”

Back in November 2021, the company also completed its acquisition of Empired Limited. Through the acquisition, Capgemini improved its position in the federal sector as a digital, data and cloud market leader in the region, with extensive capabilities across the entire Microsoft technology product suite.

In addition, Capgemini signed an agreement with IBM back in January 2022 to become an IBM Quantum Hub providing its clients access to IBM’s quantum computing systems. Under the agreement, the company will develop capabilities and coordinate research facilities aimed at the advancement of quantum technologies and exploration of their potential.

Capgemini’s Quantum Lab (Q-Lab) comprises quantum technology experts and highly-specialist facilities in the U.K., Portugal and India, to harness the potential of quantum technologies. The Q-Lab will coordinate research programs to develop business-driven client propositions for sectors most likely to benefit from quantum technologies.

Most recently, Capgemini announced on Feb. 8th that Avasant featured the company in its own RadarView™ report for Digital Workplace Services 2021. Avasant highlighted that Capgemini has redefined its Connected Employee Experience portfolio by introducing an offering called Empowered Employee to its existing integrated Digital Workplace Service (DWS) offerings.

Executive Mosaic is proud to recognize Capgemini and Doug Lane for being named a 2022 Wash100 Award recipient. As a repeat winner of the most coveted award in GovCon, Lane has demonstrated a level of success and recognition that can only be recognized by the Wash100 Award and the GovCon community.
