Collins Aerospace Secures $493M IDIQ to Sustain USAF Reconnaissance Aircraft Sensors

    Raytheon Technologies‘ (NYSE: RTX) Collins Aerospace business will help the U.S. Air Force maintain electro-optical/infrared sensors of the U-2 Dragon Lady reconnaissance planes under a potential $493 million indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract.

    Collins Aerospace said Wednesday it received a $66.2 million task order that will cover the first year of support work for the branch’s U-2 aircraft program.

    Both parties have also agreed on the $114.6 million value for the second and third option periods.

    The team of Collins Aerospace and Lockheed Martin‘s (NYSE: LMT) Skunk Works division helped the Air Force deploy an updated version of the Senior Year Electro Optical Reconnaissance System on the U-2 aircraft last year.
