Mike Elias, an aerospace and defense industry veteran, has joined CAES as senior vice president and general manager of space systems division.
He will manage the company’s portfolio of space products including applications-specific integrated circuits, radiation hardened microelectronics, advanced packaging platforms, positioning and motion control technologies, CAES said Wednesday.
Elias will also oversee the company’s division operations in Colorado, New York and Sweden.
“We are excited to have Mike join our CAES team and further strengthen partnerships with our customers,” said Mike Kahn, president and CEO of CAES and a 2021 Wash100 Award winner.
Kahn said Elias and his experience in the aerospace and defense sector will help CAES grow across the space business, advance program performance and deliver new platforms designed to meet future needs.
Elias spent more than three decades at Honeywell International (Nasdaq: HON), where he held the roles of VP and GM of the space business unit and VP of space engineering. He previously worked at Delco Systems Operations with a focus on F-16 and F-15 fire control electronics.
