Ensco has won a potential 20-year, $570.9 million contract to help the Federal Railroad Administration operate and maintain a Department of Transportation-owned facility intended for rail system research, development, test and training.
The contract for support services to the Transportation Technology Center in Pueblo, Colorado, has a phase-in period of six months, a five-year base period and three five-year options, DOT said Friday in a SAM notice.
TTC encompasses 52 square miles of area and includes space for specialized testing of different freight platforms, passenger rolling stock, railway vehicles, track components and safety equipment.
The agency noted it will obligate funds under the small business set-aside contract through individual firm-fixed-price or cost-plus-fixed-fee task orders.
