The U.S. Air Force has awarded AB International Services a $177.6 million contract to help operate the service branch’s calibration and metrology laboratory complex in Heath, Ohio.

AB International will perform work at the Air Force Primary Standards Laboratory and will receive $45,742 at the time of award, the Department of Defense said Wednesday.

The AF Life Cycle Management Center received five offers for firm-fixed-price contract and expects work to conclude by Oct. 31, 2031.

AFPSL functions as a network of labs equipped with systems designed to measure technical concepts such as optics, acoustics, vibration, microwave and fiber optics.

The facility is intended to support operations under the AF Base Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratories and the National Institute of Standards and Technology, according to the branch.
