As vice president of performance excellence, Bhave leads an independent organization with a mission to drive excellence into the performance of Perspecta programs, with scope across all lines of business and corporate functions.

She has more than 23 years of experience in program management, systems engineering and integration and technical contribution to the development of complex space and ground systems mission and IT systems.

As the first Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) RFPs quickly approach, it is essential that organizations and companies shift gears to CMMC preparation. CMMC is not just about fixing a gap or implementing a control, it’s about an organizational behavior, such as Practice Maturity and Process Maturity, which is essential for Level 3 and higher.

During the forum, Bhave will discuss the meaning of “process maturity” and the concept of “evidence” of maturity. She will also lead the panel’s discussion of the requirements and priorities of implementing the certification, including scoping of CMMC assessments, supply chain impacts and C3PAOs.

Katherine Arrington, chief information security officer (CISO) for the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition (OUSD(A&S)) for the Department of Defense (DoD) and 2020 Wash100 Award recipient, will serve as a keynote speaker during the forum.

Bhave recently moderated Potomac Officers Club’s Spring CMMC Forum, where she opened the discussion by providing an overview of the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC). Bhave then introduced the panelists’ knowledge and expertise within the sector and federal government.

“The government and the CMMC accreditation body, through multiple working groups have been diligently working over the past several months to develop a framework and standards for CMMC,” Bhave stated.
