Sierra Nevada Secures $319M Army Contract for Comms Security Device Production

The U.S. Army has awarded Sierra Nevada Corp. a potential 10-year, $318.9M contract to produce, engineer and sustain handheld devices that are designed to secure tactical communications.

Army Contracting Command received one bid for the hybrid contract covering simple key loader support services, the Department of Defense said Monday.

The Pentagon estimates contract work to finish by Aug. 9, 2030.

Version 3.1 of SNC's AN/PYQ-10 SKL technology features a modern touchscreen LCD screen and is designed to comply with the National Security Agency's information assurance standards, according to the company.
