Antenna Research Associates (ARA) has secured a potential five-year, $12 million indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract contract from the Defense Logistics Agency, the company announced Tuesday.
“This award reinforces the Department of Defense’s confidence in ARA’s expertise and ability to field critical communication equipment” said Logen Thiran, president and CEO of ARA.
Under the contract, ARA will support critical communication programs by providing lightweight tactical antennas. The contract award follows ARA’s acquisition of SATCOM Technologies from AQYR Technologies in early July.
The acquisition has expanded ARA’s antenna systems portfolio in the Satcom market. ARA’s Satcom products offer support for government, military, and commercial customers worldwide.
The acquired company will collaborate with ARA across various sites in the United States and Europe. AQYR’s goal is to provide innovative, tactical systems and services, focused on using requirements-driven design, as dictated by the customer/end-user.
