This marks McIntyre’s fourth-consecutive Wash100 Award. He secured his previous Wash100 Award in 2019 for rebranding the public Sector arm and his cybersecurity leadership. McIntyre has continued to lead Guidehouse throughout 2020, proving his innovation in the sector.

Most notably, Guidehouse completed the company’s acquisition of Navigant Consulting in Oct. 2019.  The combined organization will operate under the Guidehouse name and will be led by McIntyre.

“We are delighted to welcome all of our colleagues from Navigant,” said McIntyre. “Their significant commercial market expertise in healthcare, energy, and financial services complement the public sector strengths of Guidehouse, creating a new type of consultancy focused on driving cross-market advancements.”

Guidehouse is now a global organization with more than 7 thousand employees in over 50 offices worldwide. The combination has expanded the industry expertise that Guidehouse delivers to its clients, across both the commercial and government sectors, in the highly regulated industries of healthcare, financial services, energy, national security, and aerospace and defense.

Under the terms of the agreement, Navigant shareholders will receive $28.00 in cash for each share of Navigant common stock they hold.  “Together we will serve our clients with distinction around the world, helping them address their most difficult challenges and identify their most promising opportunities in order to set a national agenda and drive global change,” McIntyre added.

In addition to McIntyre’s efforts to expand the company through acquisitions, he also supervised contracts to grow Guidehouse’s revenue. In March 2020, Guidehouse was awarded a position on a blanket purchase agreement (BPA) to provide the Government National Mortgage Association (Ginnie Mae) with information technology software development services to modernize its securitization platform.

"We are honored to assist Ginnie Mae in modernizing its securitization platform technology, processes, and related policies to improve service delivery and enhance transparency to its issuers and investors," said Guidehouse.

Under the agreement, Guidehouse will continue to modernize Ginnie Mae’s securitization platform, including applying innovative practices such as agile software development. In addition, the company will integrate new technologies like robotic process automation, to upgrade Ginnie Mae's critical business operations.

Through Guidehouse’s efforts, the IT software enhancements will help Ginnie Mae deliver increased transparency, improve service delivery to issuers and investors and enable the agility required to adapt to evolving mortgage industry standards.

To assist in the completion of the contract, Guidehouse has partnered with Accenture Federal Services and subcontractor CLARIFIRE, to blend extensive mortgage-backed security experience, enterprise architecture and large-scale transformations to accelerate the transformation of the securitization platform.

McIntyre used its expansion through the acquisition, and new revenue from contract awards, to expand Guidehouse’s consulting services. In March 2019, the Department of Defense (DoD) selected Guidehouse to participate in a pilot program that aims to help DoD and industry professionals to share procurement strategies.

Guidehouse noted that it will host a civilian employee from the U.S. Marine Corps while a company manager will work for the U.S. Army's Deputy for Acquisition and Systems Management as part of the Defense-Industry Talent Exchange Pilot Program.

“We are proud to be a part of this exciting initiative that brings together a greater understanding of business operations between military and commercial sectors,” said McIntyre.

Executive Mosaic applauds Guidehouse and Scott McIntyre for his 2020 Wash100 Award. McIntyre’s success in building new relationships through valuable partnerships, contract awards and acquisitions demonstrates the level of vision and success that he has been able to achieve within the industry and for the GovCon sector.
