Salient CRGT has won a potential five-year, $482M task order to provide telecommunication and engineering support for the Department of Defense's warfighter network modernization efforts.

The Fairfax, Va.-based company said Tuesday it will work with industry partners to design, build, deploy and sustain IT assets as part of the SANDBAR project awarded under the General Services Administration's Alliant 2 contract.

Initial work will involve network modernization, integration and maintenance activities as well as support for cyber and airborne intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance technology platforms.

Tom Ferrando, CEO of Salient CRGT, said the company will implement an approach intended to increase  efficiency in delivering IT, engineering and cyber services to support DoD’s missions in times of conflict and peace.

The company seeks to expand its professional services offerings for the department through the task order.
