Vectrus Gets $522M Army Contract Modification for Kuwait Base Operations Support

A Vectrus (NYSE: VEC) subsidiary has received a potential one-year, $521.6 million contract modification to continue to provide security and base operations services in the U.S. Army’s area of responsibility in Kuwait.

Vectrus Systems will perform contract-related work through March 28, 2018, the Defense Department said Thursday.

The Army Contracting Command will obligate $213.2 million from the service branch’s operations and maintenance funds at the time of award.

The modification came weeks after the U.S. government canceled the solicitation for the Kuwait Base Operations and Security Support Services 2.0 recompete contract that was re-opened by the Army for bids in November 2016.
