Army Taps 6 Companies for Medical Staffing Services


Six companies have won positions on a potential five-year, $48 million contract to provide temporary physician staffing services to the U.S. Army.

The Army Medical Command received 14 bids for the shared firm-fixed-price contract via an online solicitation and will provide funds and performance locations upon the issuance of each order, the Defense Department said Wednesday.

Contractors will recruit physicians from various medical specialties to provide healthcare services at the Army’s medical treatment facilities within the continental U.S.

Work will run through Jan. 31, 2022, according to DoD.

The awardees are:

  • Caduceus Healthcare
  • Consillium Staffing
  • Ghost and Loyal Source joint venture
  • Locums
  • Matrix Providers
  • TistCorp II

The Army Medical Command, also known as Army Medicine, offers sustained health services and conducts research to help increase warfighters’ readiness and conserve their combat strength.
