Pennsylvania State University Applied Research Laboratory will provide the Department of Defense with analytical assessments, recommendations and other mission support services under a potential five-year, $460 million contract from the Washington Headquarters Services.
PSU-ARL, as a DOD-designated University Affiliated Research Center, will help address high-interest national security challenges, meet mission requirements and support defense leaders in their decision making, the department said Tuesday.
The research organization will also continue providing the DOD with engineering, research and development capabilities.
Work under the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract is expected to be completed by July 8, 2029.
PSU-ARL was founded in 1945 at the request of the U.S. Navy to maintain core technology capabilities through research and innovation in support of all of the armed forces and other government agencies.
