Amy Fliegelman Olli
Amy Fliegelman Olli, formerly senior vice president and general counsel of Avaya, has been appointed to a similar dual-role at VMware (NYSE: VMW) in a move that takes effect Aug. 28.
VMware said Monday that Olli will bring more than 20 years of legal experience in the enterprise technology sector to her duties as leader of the company’s global legal team.
She will also oversee VMware’s commitment to comply with ethics and risk management practices.
“Amy brings with her a great track record of achievement and a strong background in the technology sector,” said VMware CEO Pat Gelsinger.
“I’m confident that as general counsel, she will provide inspiring leadership to the legal team and continue to elevate VMware’s standards of excellence and integrity,” Gelsinger added.
Olli previously served as general counsel at CA Technologies and held various roles at IBM (NYSE: IBM) that included general counsel for the Americas business; global coordinator of sales and distribution; and software and services lead for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
