Ascolta, a subsidiary of ViON, has appointed Brad Cox as chief data scientist and Clint Green as chief technology officer.
Cox will be responsible for the design and execution of detection tools intended for network intrusions in his role at the Herndon, Virginia-based analytics firm, Ascolta said Thursday.
Prior to joining Ascolta, Cox worked as a data scientist at a government agency with a Top Secret clearance.
He was instrumental in the development of the Objective-C programming language for Apple-built (Nasdaq: APPL) products and known for his work in the field of software engineering and componentry.
Cox has held senior information technology roles at various technology firms, including Lockheed Martin(NYSE: LMT), Technica Corp. and Accenture (NYSE: ACN).
Green, formerly vice president and CTO at L-3 Communications (NYSE: LLL) national security solutions business that is now part ofCACI International (NYSE: CACI), will oversee the formulation of a strategic framework for the company as well as the delivery of software platforms and other services to clients in the financial and cyber markets.
His IT experience encompasses various areas such as analytics, disaster recovery, big data, networking and Hadoop.
Green served in various senior IT leadership positions at Iron Bow Technologies, EMC (NYSE: EMC), Koverse and Data Tactics Corp.
