ViON has secured a potential nine-year, $187 million contract to help the Internal Revenue Service manage compute and storage systems.
The company said Tuesday it will support the operation and maintenance of IRS information technology infrastructure in on-premise and cloud environments as part of the agency’s Managed Infrastructure Data Service program.

He added that the IT provider has supported government customers for more than two decades and delivered managed services to the federal sector via contracts worth more than $1.3 billion combined.
The contract has one base year and eight option years.
