A Vigor Industrial subsidiary has won a potential two-year, $303.7M contract to modernize two Ticonderoga-class cruiser ships for the U.S. Navy.
Vigor Marine will update, maintain and repair USS Chosin and USS Cape St. George systems under the firm-fixed-price contract, the Department of Defense said Friday.
Naval Sea Systems Command received three offers for the ship modernization efforts through a West Coast-wide competition.
The Navy will obligate $254.6M in fiscal 2019 operation and maintenance and other procurement funds to cover the base amount of the contract.
Contract work will take place in Seattle through November 2021.
