Why Did Valiant Acquire Abile?
The acquisition aligns with Valiant’s strategy to build a scaled cybersecurity platform to address evolving cyber, information assurance and digital risk requirements across classified and unclassified environments, the McLean, Virginia-based company said Tuesday. By integrating Abile, the combined organization will focus on securing, modernizing and managing mission-critical systems operating in complex, high-threat conditions. Together, the companies offer end-to-end cyber support, encompassing secure system engineering, accreditation and the ongoing enhancement of operational resilience.
What Capabilities Does Abile Add?
Abile provides secure network and cyber engineering services, including endpoint protection, cloud-native architectures and network engineering. The company supports mission-critical defense and national security programs and brings experience aligned with zero trust initiatives and continuous authorization efforts.
How Does the Deal Fit Valiant’s Strategy?
George Wilson, CEO of Valiant Solutions and a four-time Wash100 Award winner, said the acquisition deepens the company’s technical expertise and broadens its offerings to federal customers. Cara duCellier, president and CEO of Abile, said the combination expands opportunities for employees and enhances mission support.
Earlier Strategic Moves
The acquisition builds on major developments over the past year. In December 2024, Valiant Solutions announced a leadership transition backed by a strategic investment from Bluestone Investment Partners. In January 2025, as it marked its 20th anniversary, Valiant was named one of 10 awardees on the Treasury Department’s eight-year, $20 billion Providing Treasury Enterprise Cybersecurity Technology and Services, or PROTECTS, blanket purchase agreement to provide enterprise-wide cybersecurity technology and services.
