Valiant has secured a five-year, $260 million contract from Army Contracting Command-Orlando, covering the Army National Guard’s Mission Command Training Support Program, or MCTSP.
What Will Valiant Provide Under the MCTSP Contract?
Valiant will support Guard units and soldiers nationwide through mission command training and exercises. The work includes leader development; staff planning; mission rehearsal exercises; Command and Control Information System support; and live, virtual and constructive simulations. Tasks involve developing scenarios, providing gaming and simulation support, managing communications and network services, and furnishing security and facility support.
The training program supports division-, brigade-, and battalion-level formations, as well as individual soldiers and smaller elements, to keep personnel ready for evolving operational demands.
How Does the MCTSP Award Build on Valiant’s Army National Guard Work?
Valiant has supported MCTSP since 2018. CEO Daniel Simms said the company plans to draw on that experience to keep providing “realistic, mission-focused training” for Guard soldiers facing present and future challenges worldwide.
Simms, who became CEO in February after rejoining Valiant as chief operating officer, spent six years in the Maryland Army National Guard before moving to industry in 2007.
What Other Military Training Work Has Valiant Won?
The Army award follows a five-year, $131 million contract Valiant secured earlier this month from the Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division. Under that contract, the company will instruct Navy aviators, flight officers and aircrew at four Atlantic Fleet sites. In 2023, Valiant formed an advisory board of four retired Army officers to guide its military training market strategy.
Valiant employs 4,100 people. Its services span training, simulation and readiness, as well as logistics, intelligence, language support and contingency operations. GC Valiant owns the company.
