UTC Gets $2.5B DLA Contract for Military Aviation Spares, Services

A United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX) business unit has secured a potential 10-year, $2.5 billion contract to provide aviation-related spare parts and services to all U.S. military branches.

UTC Aerospace Systems will perform work at various facilities in nine states through April 30, 2028, the Defense Department said Wednesday.

The sole-source contract contains a five-year base period along with one five-year option.

DLA will use defense working capital funds from fiscal 2018 through fiscal 2028 for the procurement.

The Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard can use the items and services covered by the contract.
